  Massive and beautiful. A true gem of the south side. When I came here it was completely empty and it was nice to just sit and take it all in. Also, make sure to check out the schedule of the chapel, as they hold live concerts.

  The majestic Rockefeller Memorial Chapel, at 200 feet, is the tallest building at the University of Chicago. The lavender garden is beautiful as are the many wood and stone carvings and the intricate ceiling. Come hear one of the largest carillons in the world.
  One of the best times to see the Rockefeller Chapel is the one weekend in October each year when it is open to the Chicago Architectural Foundation's Open House Chicago. Amazing.

  Rockefeller is a beautiful building which hosts one of the largest carillons in the world. The tower which hosts the carillon is the tallest on the uchicago campus, and tours to see the view from the top (along with the carillon bells and the keyboard) run leave from inside the front doors at 11:30 am or 4:30 pm on weekdays and 12:15 pm on Sundays. The rest of the chapel is well worth a visit as well!
